There are three operational shifts (platoons), each working 48 hours per week (one 24-hour day on duty, two 24-hour days off duty, one shift differential day, or Kelly Day, every third week). The three platoons have an operating staff of 1 Battalion Chief, 6 Operations Captains, 9 Operations Lieutenants, 1 EMS Captain, 9 Driver/Engineers, and a combination of 23 Firefighter/Paramedic or Firefighter/EMT certified personnel.
